The new year is getting closer and it’s time to set goals, so you can once more fail after a month.
Epictetus wrote: “There are things that are within your control and there are things that are not within your control.” And as you sit down to write the yearly goals, take a minute to check if your goals are under your control.
If I have a goal to get fit, it is really not under my control. Lose 10 kg? Still not. Workout 3 times a week? Here we are. Screenshot that. I need an action-specific goal.
Anyway, if you want to follow your goals, write them down as actions you need to take, not as results you want to achieve.
